06.18.12 -- I have been consistently working out for a while.  It has really started helping the scale.  I've leaned away from the Jillian Michael's DVD and have started to focus on training for a half-marathon that I am doing in October.  That sounds like a long time away, but it is only 18 short weeks from now.  Running is such a stress reliever for me.  I love it and miss it when I skip days.  I'm following the Hal Higdon Training Program and finding it very challenging for me physically. 

05.06.12 -- For the past 30 days, I've still been struggling to find the time to workout.  I have decided that first thing in the morning is the only way I can guarantee I'll have the time.  I've now been getting up early enough to get my workout in... It feels great to go through the day knowing I've already gotten it out of the way.  :o)  My fitness goal for the month is to run 100 miles.

04.04.2012 -- I have been running and also doing the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD.  I was thinking that I was in okay shape since I could run a 5K until I started this DVD.  Wow... Talk about sore!!  I am going to do 30 workouts at Level 1, 30 at Level 2, and then 30 at Level 3.  I'm curious to see what the differences in my body will be after doing 90 workouts with the DVD in addition to my running routine.

01.24.2012 -- My check-up went well, so I am clear to start working out again.  YEA!!!  I celebrated by going on a 2.1 mile jog.  My pace is slow, but I was able to jog the whole way without stopping for a walk break.  I also purchased a pedometer at yesterday's Weight Watchers meeting.  I have gotten in 9410 steps so far today.  My goal will be to have 10000 steps minimum each day.



01.19.2012 -- I go for my 6 weeks post-delivery follow-up with my doctor on January 24th... I am so looking forward to this date so that I can start working out at a greater intensity.  I've been limiting (or trying to limit) my workouts to fast-paced walking.  I'm ready to start working out harder because I know that will help with my weight loss.  I'll be posting workout ideas on this page once I have my release.
